My review
Thoughts on the book: One Dark Throne is the sequel to Three Dark Crowns and tells the continuing story of triplets Mirabella who can control the elements, Katherine who was thought to be a poisoner but is infact a naturalist (I'm pretty sure) and Arsinoe who was thought to be a naturalist but is actually a poisoner. The Ascension Year has now started and they must now entertain their suitors that have chosen to visit them while keeping an eye out for the fight they know must be coming to them. The fight where they will fight each other for the right to be crowned, as only one can be. Each sister wants to be the victor but which sister will be the one to survive and in the end will they really have the heart to kill their flesh and blood.

So confession time it's been nearly a year since I have read the first book in this series and I had forgotten a lot of what happened, although I do remember that I didn't enjoy it that much until the end. So I went looking for my copy to read the last 100 pages or so of it as a refresher but I couldn't find it anywhere (I'm currently in between two houses at the moment ) so, I just started Book 2. Omg it was so good and I really don't know what I was thinking with book 1. I loved being in the Queens' world again and reading each Queen's different POV. The action was fast paced and I could never quite believe what was happening next as it certainly wasn't what I was thinking would. I think I have picked my order of how I rate the triplets too but it may change in future books.
Number one is defiantly Arsinoe as I think she is such a strong representative for queen and would rule fairly even though she basically has a foot in the naturalist camp and the poisoner camp. She doesn't really want the crown though as she loves life they way it is and would love it to stay the way it is. She defiantly grows and changes a lot in book 2 and I can't imagine how she will cope after the ending of One Dark Throne.
Number two is Mirabella. She is so confident in her element ability and would properly make the best queen with the backing of the temple behind her.  Like Arsinoe, Mirabella Browns so much in book 2 and also learns that the people you think you can trust the most sometimes betray you in the biggest ways possible.
And lastly of course is Katherine. I wish I could just wipe her off completey that's how much I don't like her. If you thought she couldn't get worse you are seriously mistaken. I thought her minder Natalia was horrible but she has nothing on Katherine. She defiantly wouldn't rule wisely and the world will fall into chaos if she does.

One Dark Throne takes you on journeys that you never saw coming with many deaths thrown into the mix for good measure (some you might expect but many you will not) and an ending that will leave you wanting for book 3 right away. Hurry up and finish writing book 3 Kendare Blake I don't think that I can't wait another year for the answers to all my questions.
